Approved I-140 PD not Current

Hi , I have been a avid follower of this site and it has helped me a lot. I have an approved I-140 ( EB3,Non-RIR,PD:22-12-1997). Is their anyway I can file I-485 and EAD (USABAL ?? etc.). Does any one have any experience like this? what about contacting a local senator? My H1 runs out in December 2000. I am planning to apply for an extension based on vacation.

I would appreciate any help.

I don\'t think there is any way you can file for AOS (I-485) till your PD becomes current. Talking to a senator is not likely to help.
