Case sent to examiner\'s desk May 15, 2002. Pretty fast from that moment on. I-140 was still in Chennai with no request as of end of April.

RFE for spouse (derivative application) received 6/5/02 by attorney: Medical.

Will post again after completing passport stamping & follow-up on spouse\'s RFE.

Thanks to all of you. You have been a source of great strength. Thanks to the organizers of immigrationportal.com. Here\'s wishing each and every one of you speedy processing. God bless all of you and your families.

Congratulations NSC_Year6!...Go to Bahamas!> Can you check...

with Chennai again and post it here if they received
any request after April-end? Send an email to
chennaiiv@state.gov
You should get a reply by tomorrow morning. You just need
your I140 case#.

Happy to see that you have finally passed the hurdle!.

I might call IIO to see if my case assigned to officer.
When I called 2 weeks back, it was not yet assigned to officer.

PD: 2/12/1997, I485 RD 12/19/2000 .....Hopefully not more than
another 30 days!. I have a safe job now, at least for next 6 months!
A project going for next 6 months and I don\'t think anything will
happen.

God Bless you, and NSC as well.

Special best wishes to 5thYearNSC

Great to see you are still cheerful and optimistic. Yes, you should hear something soon. I\'ll put in a little special prayer for you.

Good luck.

Is the new security check before or after case gets to an officer?

Hello Guru\'s
Can you please tell me if the new security check before or after case gets to an officer?
Also, how many more months does that ad to the processing time.

Question for NSC_Year6

Congratulations on approval....
Did you ever contacted any Senator or Congress man ?
Or may be your lawer did contact AILA ? Any input in this will be helpful.
Thanks..

Passport stamped at Detroit

Followup: Went to the Detroit INS office around 8:45am. Waited for about two hours. Had good reading material with me. The IIO at the counter stamped my passport and she retained with her my EADs (two of them), AP and the I-94. Stamp on passport says it is valid for employment and is a temporary stamp. No sweat.

Will post after I get some information on my spouse\'s RFE case.

Good luck to you all. May God be with each of you and your families. Keep up the faith and good cheer.

Mandu, No ...

I did not contact a Senator, Congressman or AILA. Neither did my lawyer though the thought did cross my mind occassionally.
