I just received notification that my I-140 for Executive managerial position has been approved. Also I already received my employment authorization a few months ago... I have filed that together with I-485 in may 2005 to Texas.

Now what does an appproved I-140 mean? And what is going to happen next?

I have submitted birth certificates, my history, medical examination, finger prints etc already. I am a female, 30 years old, no criminal history, with complete education (high school and college) from the US, no shady background (except a lot of travel)... any ideas how long that will take, how my chances look like to get a GC after I-140 has been appproved?

Also, I heard that there will be a GC interview.. any ideas what that is all about, what they do and what they ask?

Any ideas, info will be very appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

PS: I am already in the US.

Next step is to wait for the I-485 approval (Green Card approval). This also means that you have to go through fingerprinting, biometrics, get your fingerprints and name cleared the through the FBI. This can go fast or drag on for years. If you are affected by retrogression, you will have to wait until a visa becomes available, which can be sevaral years depending on your country. If you are not affected by retrogression, it may take a few weeks to a few months for that approval. In terms of interview, it may or may not happen. most of the time, intervoiews are for family-based immigration and not employment based, but some employment based applicants are called for an interview nonetheless. You pretty much have a very frudstrating waiting game ahead of you and jst have to wait for the USCIS and see when they take the next step in terms of sending you notices of actions you need to take such as fingerprinting and biometrics, and then just wait, wait, wait...
