Approved H1B and going for L1 Stamping

Hi,
I have an approved H1B visa with effective date from Oct 1 2007. I did not go for the stamping yet. This is from Company A.
Now my current company processed L1 visa and this was approved recently.
They want me to go for stamping.
My question is what will happen to my H1B visa if i go for L1 stamping.

Any help is appreciated.
