Approved GC but Employer has run out of work

Hello,
I'm outside US with AP (expiring in about a month). My GC has been approved this June.
My GC employer has run out of work. He is likely to get work later.
My options are:
a) Stay outside US and look for project. On getting confirmed work, enter US to join employer.
b) Enter US, look for project. On getting confirmed work, join employer.

Getting employed by GC sponsor employer with, either option could take few months.

While entering US, I will NOT have EVL(employment letter), only AP & I485 Approval Notice.
Which is safer option (a or b) for US entry ?
What questions can be asked at POE ? What should I say if asked about employer ?
Can GC be revoked at POE?

Which is safer option (a or b) for GC renewal, citizenship ?

Thanks.

You are not required to start working for the employer immediately upon GC approval or immediately upon your first entry as a permanent resident. If you take a few months before you start working, that is OK. If your employer is keeping the position open for you and hasn't actually laid you off, don't worry about it.

If they ask at the POE who you work for, tell them. If they ask for more details, just say this is your first entry to the US since your GC approval and you'll find out about your assignments after you report to your employer.

Use the GC to enter if it arrives in the mail before your AP expires and you can have somebody send it to you by Fedex or DHL or some other private courier. Using AP will guarantee that you are sent to secondary inspection, where the questioning may be more intense, but using the GC instead will reduce the chances of being sent to secondary.

I heard international mail/courier of GC card to outside US is ILLEGAL. See relevant post at trackitt.com :

Unless the specific foreign country has a law against it, it is not illegal to send it internationally by courier.

This consular web site even recommends sending it if it was left in the US:

If you left your green card in the U.S., try to arrange for someone to send it to you overseas.

It is inadvisable to send it internationally via the postal service, as such documents tend to get lost often in the mail. Only use a private courier.
