Approved EAD but AP not approved yet

Hi there
Myself and my wife both have got our EAD cards .But the AP is still under process (as per present processing rate at vermont it might take another 2-3 months).We have our H1B and H4 respectively for me and my wife valid till Jun 2005 and we have our rspective visas stamped on our passports. My wife is required to travel to India immediately.Can she travel on her valid H4 stamped on her passport or ,Will she have to wait till her AP is approved ?

She can travel on a valid H4 stamp - since you are also maintaining H1 status.
If you work on EAD, you lose H1 status and consequently she loses H4 - visa stamped or not.

Make sure she carries all supporting paperwork for H1 and also the receipt notice of the 485 - that's all.
