Hi All-

I'm gald to inform that my I-485 was approved today. It took nearly 3.5 years to reach here. One major cause of delay was that my I-140 got denied and I had to re-apply. Anyway, things finally worked out well because I was about to send AC21 in a week or 2 because my client is offering a good job. Now, I dont think I need to do that. My details:-
Applied Labor in Jan 01.
Labor approved in May 01.
RFE on I-140 in Sep 01.
Lawyer(paralegal) screwed up the response.
140 denied in Dec'01.
Applied for MTR.
Re-applied 140 in Feb 02.
140 approved in Nov 2002.
Filed 485 in Dec 02.
Fp1 in Feb 2003.
Ead1 approved in Mar 2003.
Applied EAD2 in November.
Got secondary EAD in Baltimore by appearing personally.
Ead2 approved in End of march(did not get back to back renewal)
Fp2 in June 2004. Did early by a week.
Lud update on 7/6/04 and 7/7/04 and 08/23/04.
485 approved today.

I know that there are people who have applied before me and still waiting. My best wishes to them and pray for their early approval.

There is one minor problem. My case and my wifes' case are approved. My daughter's case (who is now 5 years) is not coming up in the case status information. Even the telephone says that they are not able to locate this case. Until yesterday I was able to see the case status of my daughter's 485 application. Dont know what happened? Any ideas what would have happened to my daughter's case. How can I follow this up? Any help will be appreciated.

Again this site is a great site for GC applicants. Thanks to everyone involved.

Congratulations! :)

From what I've read on this forum, what you're experiencing with your daughter's status is fairly common for folks whose cases have been approved. They can't find their kid's statuses online anymore. Not sure what the resolution is though.

Don't worry about your KIds approval , she will receive her Green Card soon, it happen to me also my Daughters application was not found in the case status, but received her 485 approval notice in mail and in that it's stated that she would not require any stamping and she will receive her Green Card in few weeks, so don't worry and enjoy the freedom.

Are u sure it is okay to change jobs as soon as u get ur GC? As per my understanding u should stay with ur GC sponser company for upto 6 - 12 months.
