Today we received the email from the BCIS website that our case has been approved. We filed 485 in Aug 2002. 140 and 485 were not filed concurrently. Our 140 was approved last year.

I don't remember all the details becoz I had stopped worrying about it but here is what I remember. We had filed for 2nd EAD and 2nd AP a couple of months back. 2nd AP was recently approved while 2nd EAD is still pending. Maybe thats what triggered the approval of the case.

We did FP2 in the last week of April (i.e. almost 2 months ago).

Can you tell me the BCIS website in which we have to register to get the automated emails on aproval?
 
could you post ur EAD ND if you remember???
I am a july 2002 filer and my 3rd EAD is pending since 03/25/04.

Unfortunately I don't have the EAD receipt #. The company lawyers are handling all of this stuff and as it is I have been so fed up with this whole process that I stopped tracking the details. Sorry... wish I could provide more details.

Did your last update date change after FP2 and/or in the last couple of days/weeks?
 
RD2426, The message on BCIS site did not change even after FP2. We did FP2 in the last week of April and the last updated date changed in the first week of May (about 7 days after FP2). Even though the LUD changed, the message was the same i.e. FP1.

I got the FBI number from this forum and called them up. They confirmed that they had cleared our name the day after FP2. That was good news and we were very surprised that the message did not change.

As we all know very well, BCIS is very unpredictable but I did notice 2-3 things. These are generally true but exceptions may be there-
(a) 485 is getting approved between 1 to 3 months after FP2
(b) EAD application seems to be triggering the approvals
(c) Concurrent filers seem to be better off in terms of approval.

My info may be little outdated since I have not visited the forum for a while but my 2 cents anyways.
