Hi All,
My case got approved on 9th June at last. It was transferred to Boston Local office on 30th Nov, last year. Then after 6 months, got the interview on 9th June.
The interview was cool. My attorney was with me. Although the INS officer (a nice Chinese lady) asked a lot of questions, but as long as I produced all relevant documentation (Employment letter, Offer letter, International Educational Evaluation certificate, Original Birth certificate, Marriage certificate, Current Pay stubs, Tax returns, W-2), it went on smoothly. Finally, after about 40 minutes of questionnaire, she asked us to wait outside while she performed a Name check for both me & my spouse. After another tense 10 minutes, she finally appeared with both our passports, stamped with the approval. She also mentioned that we will receive the cards in a month or two.
For me almost four years of GC journey came to an end on 9th. Here are my details
Labor receipt date : Aug 2001
Labor got rejected on Sep 2002. I-140 was applied on Substitute labor. Company declined to apply concurrent since my case was Substitute labor.
I-140 got approved on Jul 2003.
I-485 receipt date : Aug 2003
I-485 local office transfer : 30th Nov 2004
I-485 approval : 9th June 2005
So after 2 EAD & 2 APs, finally it ended.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my previous company from which my GC got applied. Although there were occassional problems between us, but it was always very sympathetic about the GC processing continuance. I even spent the last 2 months of my I-140, without project, during 2003.
This forum has been a terrific moral booster for me & my family during the difficult days. I always got assistance from my friends in this forum, no matter what my queries are. Everybody was supportive & sympathetic. So thanks to all my good friends. I sincerely hope & prey to God almighty that all of your cases also gets approved in a very short period of time.
