OK, the first one is definitely good, USCIS sent me an email saying my AOS approval notice is on its way. I don’t know what triggered that, I know some of you wanted to know so here is the list…
- The change of address, btw, I moved from east coast to west coast to join my wife, yes, I am talking about using AC21 and converting a long distance relationship to a real family… I mentioned this coz I don’t know if it has anything to do with the 2nd email I will talk/ask about…
- The 15 month fingerprint theory (we filed our EB based AOS applications in 04/03)
- Or it’s just our turn (I started my whole application in late 2000, been screwed a few times already)
Anyway, 2nd email is kinda depressing, my wife’s email said her case is transferred to san francisco office to schedule an interview and could take months…
I am waiting for my paper notice and in the mean time, I am very concerned about my wife’s case, I guess my quesiton is
1. Should I expect a paper notice regarding my wife’s case or it will go to the lawyer’s office. Another thing is they work for my previous employer, should I ask them to forward everything to me?
2. is the appointment letter, phone call, go to the laywer’s or our home?
3. what the interview is all about? Her case is just a derivative case, if mine is approved, why does she need an interview?
4. what’s time frame I should be looking at for the interview. I checked online the SF office 485 current process time is 12/03. But I don’t know if that’s the right time I should use. I mean her case is a transferred one…
5. Anything I can do is to avoid the interview?
