My 485 was approved and PP stamped this morning at LA downtown office. Here is my case detail:

PD: 7/99
WAC-01-234-xxxxx
RD: 5/15/01
ND: 7/16/01
FP: Scheduled 11/6/01, done 10/23/01
AD: 2/20/02 per AVM, notice received 02/31/02 from attorney
AP: Approved on 10/01 after RFE
EAD: RFE on 11/01, RFE Received on 12/21/01 per AVM, still pending
AVM changes:
10/30 FP received, pending review
12/21 FP result received, process resumed
call IIO and case not assigned on 2/4/02
PP stamping experience:
Went to INS building around 8:30am. Thanks to nadodi\'s previous experience
post, entered at entrance on Los Angeles Street (the one for appointment). Security guard didn\'t ask any question.
Went to room 2050. Security guard took the approval notice and wrote number on it. I am around #50.
Waited for about 3 hrs before my number was called. The actually stamping took less than 5 minutes. AP was not taken (not even mentioned, so I guess that\'s fine).
there was only one white guy working at the counter before 10:30am. He is extremely inefficient, only processed 20 cases from 7am to 10:30am. Then a black officer came and the process speed up. He is more efficient, with 5min/case process time in average.
So the lesson is, no need to get there too early. After 10am should be fine. Some guys who arrived at 4am in the morning only finish 20min ahead of me.
