Approved after name clearance issue

First applied in April 2001.

Rd in Jan., 2002.

Transfered to the local office in June 2004.

Interviewed in Dec., 2003: My name wasn't cleared then(Duh!). Despaired waiting again forever...

Got an approval letter in June., 2004 (4 days ago). :)

My boss wanted me to work until the end of July on my interview day so I agreed( I was working for him for about 5 years with "minimum payment"). My boss now might want me to work a few more months for him or at least 6 more months. Sigh~. I miss my family and friends abroad so much that I want to visit them as fast as possible. Now I'm worried how longer my boss wants me to work.

I was so much depressed lately and I thank God I got the news not too late.

congratulations, i can almost see my self in your shoes right now, i am also in the same boat, employment wise specifically....... anyway, my i485 has just transferred to local office Hartford, CT last june 09, 2004 after my i140 was approved last june 02, 2004.... the thing is i havent done any finger printing yet.. so what local office your case was transferred at? also, i dont know when i will be called for finger printing/interview as the email of uscis has told me that might take several months (years i guess)..

My case was transfered to the DC office, Arlington, VA.

It took me about 6 months until I get an interview after the transfer.
You should do the finger printing when you get called. But I don't know how long about the interview. It varies. As I said, it took me about 6 months. It takes more for some people.
