Approved after Interview

We had an interview in Des Moines today.

We arrived at 9.45 for our 10.30 interview, we were finally called in at 11.30. The officer asked us the standard questions as a part of the 485 app. Looked at the empl letter and tax forms.

Both our passports were stamped today.

RD 4/20/02
ND 5/2/02
FP 4/4/2003
Inteview Notice 1/23/04
Interview and stamped on 3/2/04.

Can you elaborate ur interview q/s more in detail. Do they ask any specific documents? How long it lasts? Did u take lawyer with u for interview?

The interview was triggered because I was married only a few months before I applied for 485.

The interview form asked for Emploment letter and tax returns for three years.

But I had a copy of the real estate tax notice in both our names and a statement from the bank. Those were good enought.

The officer was very plesant and nice, the actual process took 10 mins.

Congratulations on your approval. I remember the time when your case was transferred at the end of January, you are very lucky to get the interview scheduled so quickly.

You said your case was transferred because you were married jsut before filing the 485. How did you know this was the reason, did the officer mention it? My case is also transferred in November and I am still waiting for the interview letter, and even we were married only 4 months before fling the 485.

Finally, did you ever have an Rfe before your case was transferred?

The officer told me the reason for the transfer.

No other RFE's, just took the docs listed in teh interview letter.

how many months before 485 did u get married .

I got married in Jan 2002 and 485 sep 2002. DO you think it will trigger interview. Just curious.
