Approved after an Interview at Newark

hi,

My green card got approved after an interview at Newark.

Interview Time: 1:00 PM

• Reached Broad Street (1320 room) at 12:00 PM.
Waiting room was not much crowded but it was very hot.
I guess heater was on instead of AC.
Waited waited till 2:00 PM.
• One middle age very well dressed and polite white lady called our name.
• She made us sign and index printing.
then direct us to her office.
• Since my case was first transfer to Jacksonville FL to my old address and then to Newark. She said your are lucky sometimes it takes 1 year for case transfer.
She also mentioned our immigrants problem, when case is pending you can at
least visit your country but in some of cases they can't visit for years.
• She asked for current employment letter and medicals which were mentioned in interview letter.
• Then she asked, are you with the same company since July 2003 (I used AC21 changed company last year.)
I answered YES
• and THAT'S IT...
She said your case is pretty much straight forward please submit all your EADs.
She stamped our passport.
She also said now u can renew your driver's license and SSN.
• YES GUYS WE NEED TO RENEW OUR SSN CARD ALSO.
• It was 2:15 PM.
• We decided to go to Trenton for renewal of Driver's license on same day.
• Reach there around 4:00 PM.
Remembered office closes at 5:00 PM. Last allowed entry 4:30 PM.
Got new (NICE) NJ driving license for 4 years (not like old laminated one)

is there any significance of July, 2003 in your case. Do you know why she asked whether you have changed employer after July, 2003 or not?

Thanks for your reply. If you don't mind could you please also post your RFE1, RFE2 details and did you volunteered your change in employment info to INS or you informed them with a RFE?

Congrats and good luck. I hope that you can leave the blood sucking company now. You are really in a free nation now. Hope we can meet again in future . It was nice meting you at the NJ meeting.

Which office did you contact to transfer case to Newark office.
Newark? or Jacksonville FL?.
I am in similar situation.
I moved from VA to Albany,NY.
Filed AR-11 but case trasfered to Arlington, VA.
What to do now?.

NO ,since my driving licence was about to expire I got it renewed for 4 years.

officer pointed out to me that our SSN was restricted to work permit only.
After renewal number remains same but the take out restrictions

I got only one RFE

1) last 2 years tax details
2) employment letter

I was lucky that Jacksonville FL office has got telephone number.
I contacted them and request to transfer my case to Newark.
I also sent them request letter to transfer case to Newark.

My experience and advice is send AR11 and then immediately cALL AND INFORM NSC.

One question. Did you call CIS to transfer your case from FL to NJ? I got interview notice in NYC although I moved to CA and updated my address by calling VSC. Any possibility that they would transfer my case to CA after the interview?

I am at a loss to understand why some people have interview for the stamping and some don't. In my case, I received an -I-485 approval letter and asked to bring 2 photos. I went to the counter , gave the photos and had my stamping in my passport. Thats all. Then, where does this innterview come into picture? Do they pick up some cases at random for a personal interview just to verify the employment status of the individual? I would appreciate if someone explains, briefly.

Labour question

Hello Guru's
I have applied labour 2 months ago,I did a mistake when I am applying for labour I put the reference letter's with the Indian addreses even though I am in USA,and I even mentioned that I will go for AOS in Nebraska.My question is it is possible to change the information when I am applying for I-140 or does the information has to be identical till I get my G.C.I want to go to C.P instead of AOS
How does is effect my case Can I change the information later stage.

got stamp after a interview

you should have the employment letter even they didn't mention.
i have a good lawyer accompany me
and you payment evidence they will ask you
my case under 245i, employment base.
