Concurrent filing 140 & 485 : Aug 2007
EAD received : Nov 2007
i140 Approved : Jan 2008
Received EAD renewal : Dec2008
Till Dec 2008 I was on my H1B
Changed job in Dec 2008 with the renewed EAD.
On APR 3th,2009 I received a mail notification on my i140. The status has been changed to "This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred".
(please recall that this was the i140 that was approved almost a year ago.)
The status on USCIS website doesn't give any further info than the usual processing times and the we will mail you our decision etc..
I believe my previous employer would have withdrawn my 140 which could have caused the change of case status.
I am confused about the transfer part in the case status message and also would like to request the advice of the Gurus here on how to proceed at this point. I haven't filed my AC21 or AP. I thought of filing the AC21 once they send me a notice advising to file for AC21 in case the previous employer withdraws the 140. but it looks like USCIS may or may not send the notice. Your valuable time and advice are really appreciated.
