My I-485 (along with my wife) has been approved today. I checked before lunch (11:45), got the same old message, when I checked immediately after lunch (01:30), could not believe my eyes.

You guys have been a great help to me. Thanks everyone, specially Rajeev Khanna, Rupnet, Another-wish, and Mylador.

I changed the job 2 times since I filed I-485.
Did not inform INS as per my lawyer's instructions.
Never called IIO, ever.
No RFE

I was little worried for the following issues with my application:

1) Medical: Immunization information I received from India, had dates earlier than, even before I was born. I do not know how and why.
2) My wife's birth certificate (from India) had the Notary's stamp in hindi, not in english. Although the Birth certificate was in english. As per my lawyer's suggestion, I myself translated and verified the translation and attached with my original application.

Anyway God has given me a lot of strength and support. I think I have been blessed even before I got my GC approved :) .

Thanks to all you guys, even to the enemies across the border, who made this board informative and entertaining.

Well I have some questions if you can please answer those for my guidance?

1) Did you inform the Center of your job change. if so did you file by yourself/ get the lawyer's services and how much that cost, if not what form you really need to fill & send?
2) When you changed the location your center was probably changed too. so you got the RFE from that new center?
3) Did you file AR-11?
4) On your LC I think it must be close to the threshold of the cut off amount. was that so in you LC I had that scenario, but now if I change that would be below the LC but I think above the poverty line. You think if it is going to be ok?

=> Yes. 10/26/01 and 12/04/01

=> I did not inform. I had my lawyer from the company who originally filed my petition. Only difference was, when I left the company, I kept the same lawyer, but I had to pay her a very nominal amount, as my original company had paid for everything else.

2) When you changed the location your center was probably changed too. so you got the RFE from that new center?
=> I did not change the location in both job changes. I told you in my previous post, I HAVE BEEN BLESSED BY GOD. :)

3) Did you file AR-11?
Since I did not change the residence, I didn't have to file AR-11.

=> I was making atleast $15,000 than what I was making when we filed the Labor/I-140. Although there was no change in my slary since I filed my I-485 (as such $1000 less I am making now.)

I thought you got approved in OCT 02. Hmm.....our dates were always same till approval. Anyway its all over now. Good luck.
 
Tanha_one.... your approval date is 2/4/03...

Was that a typo mistake or did they update the online status a month after? Please clarify...
