Approvals !!!

BCIS Stopped processing I-485 cases due to the national security alert constraints. Whenever an officer takes up a case, he needs to get clearance from FBI to proceed that case further.

But FBI are now concentrating more for the coming July 4th (Independence Day) security to avert any terrorist activities. Eventhough cases are getting assigned to Immigration officers, we won't be seeing many approvals until July 4th,2003.

But there are rumours spreading that BCIS won't process 485 cases until October'2003...these are not true.

So ours is not too far.

:)

we are waiting on approvals for the cases which were already processed by FBI ( FingerPrinting completed )

So your "internal" fellow is miserably fooling you :D:D

Hi all,
Please ignore the rumours. The reality is we are still seeing approvals daily (Today is a dull day so far). Look at Balakona's case and ASN's case. They got approved just the other day.
More importantly, do not believe any news that is not posted in immigration.com updates page. If there is a reliable info, this website would have definitely posted it there.

Is this a rumour?

06/10/2003: EB-485 Processing in Snail Pace

The EB-485 filers are continuously experiencing frustration from the backlog of their applications. The exact reasons are not known from any sources, but at least one sources indicate that EB-485 cases will not move any better at least until the new fiscal year, October 1, 2003. Ya, ya, ya......
