Something definitely is happening at VSC

Almost no approvals last 2-3 days. Anyone has any clue?

This happens about this time each month and the next thing you know VSC moves on to the next month. So I expect one or two November approvals when they resume. The rest of October cases will be processed alongside as has been happening in the last few months.

looks like some cases from Aug/sept/Oct with I-140\'s beeing approved for CP are beeing delayed because the IIO\'s have to get the file from NVC Back to their service center..

When you say \'this time\' do you mean between 20th - 25th of each month?

What is the reason behind this?

Yes it happens just before the last week of the month. I really can\'t figure out the reason but that is a pattern I have observed over the past few months.

Is it possible that VSC has a weekly pattern

like:

1st week : approve new cases for the current processing month
2nd week : work on RFE cases
3rd week : don\'t work!!
4th week : randomly work on some lucky cases for the next month to advance the processing date

All scenarios are possible. Something like this perhaps:
1st week : approve new cases for the current processing month
2nd week : work on RFE and some backlog cases
3rd week : review progress,assign new cases and continue on unfinished cases
4th week : randomly work on some lucky cases for the next month to advance the processing date
