Approvals/RFE/Local transfer pattern

Hi Folks,

Pulled this from murthy chat. I don\'t like it, but that explains large number of RFEs & local transfers. This seems to be for VSC but I think the pattern should be same for NSC

Chat User : Does everybody get an RFE or interview call? What is the percentage of RFEs + interview calls vs. no RFE and interview call?

Attorney Murthy : About 50 per cent of cases seem to get RFEs. Other 40% get approved outright, and about 10 per cent get interview notices in local INS offices, except for Maryland cases where almost all cases were interviewed based on VSC\'s sending them for review since they had time and the VSC did not.

Any thoughts?

There seems a sudden spurge on local Transfers.

There suddenly seems to be a lot of cases transfered
 to local offices.
 I think NSC wants to push it\'s work load to the
 local offices.
 
Is there any problem??

If a 485 case hase been transferred to Local INS office,Is approval going to be delayed? I like to know why people are worried about it.

Local transfer means interview

People get worried beacuse it depends now on the local INS office processing time. So you again wait for local interview appointment. I think you need to show them the docs they ask for. It just adds more delays while you see some people who has filed after you get clean approvals.
