Approvals of EB2 Labour Substitution Vs EB3 LS.........

I have been noticing this trend with VSC for the past couple of months... there have been a lot of approvals of EB2 labor substitution cases whereas have'nt come across any approval for EB3 labor substitution case. Why is this happening? Will greatly appreciate any insight into this...experts please suggest...

If there has been any approvals of EB3 Labor Substitution cases in the past couple of months please let us know the details so that we can know how much more wait is there - our priority date has been current for over 3 months now. VSC seems to be very reluctant approving specifically EB3 LS cases - don't know why? Will greatly appreciate if someone can throw some light on this.

Thanks harapatta2005 & prj.search. But it took quite a while for both of you to get approvals. Both of you had your I-485 submitted almost 2 year back and your PD has been current for quite a while. My case details are as follows:

PD: Sep 2000
I-485/I-140 RD: March 2005
My wife's I-485 RD: July 2005
Response to Medical RFE on my wife's I-485 RD: 02/23/2006

Now looking at the trend I am concerned that it might be another year before I can expect to receive my GC approval (I would not be able to wait that long beacuse of my job situation) even though my PD has been current for over 2 months now. Even the processing dates for I-485 at VSC are currently 04/30/2005. I have'nt seen any EB3 approval cases at all where the PD was around Sep 2000 and I-485 RD was around March 2005. So if there are such cases than please do let me know...

BTW I am thinking that I should probably call up the 1800.. number to check the status of my case. But how would I get info about whether my case has been stuck in name check?

sometimes if you take an infopass and visit the local office they might give you some information. In our case after our PD became current in March we took infopass around march 10th she has said that some security checks got cleared on march 6th but she did not tell (or rather could not tell) if it was same as name check. Assuming she meant clearance for both of us we were thinking positive. Then on March 22nd only my husbands case(primary) got approved . then when we went for passport stamping for him we again asked about my case and she said that my backround check is still pending.
:confused: still waiting as of today for my approval.
sometimes the 1800 number representatives can also give you some info.

I don't think so it is really EB2 or EB3 thing. Someone's take longer than others. Mine is EB2 Sub labor, priority date is current for last two months. I called VSC and they says everything is clean on my case. I didn't move from my address but still not getting approval. Whereas some people get the approval within 2 months of receipt date.

So just wish your self luck who know you are the next one to get approval!!! Good luck.
