my question. How do you know your FP expired?? Does the 15 month clock ticks from the date you do your FP Or from the date service center recieves update??
If you have any infor regarding this please post.
In my case, FP done and FBI update to NSC was practically on the same day. Some of them have 6 months gap.

try your luck by going to local office and get FP done earlier than the scheduled date. Since your RFE reply is already recieved, if your FP becomes current, may be you may get approved immediately. Good luck

i have learned only from this forum that FP ticks from the date we do FP. Also, i have seen one case on this website which got approval even after FP was expired.(Assuming FP tick from the date we do FP).
But, for this case the FP was not expired when RFE was received, but expired a day later, which is my case also.

My RFE was generated just 3 days after FP1 expired ( 15 months, calendar days, from date prints were taken. I will be replying to RFE shortly. Though before the RFI, online status said finger prints recvd on July 9, 2003 which was about six months after the prints.
will I get FP2?

your case updates are very important to understand whether FP expiry clocks tick from FP done date or service center update date.
After your reply to RFE,
if you get your approval without a 2nd FP, then FP exipry clock ticks from service center update date.
if you get a 2nd FP notice before your approval, then FP expiry clock ticks from the date of FP done.
In anycase, post your updates...
