Hey All,

My I-140 and I-485 were filed concurrently on 3/24/04. I got married a few months ago and filed for my wife as well. Her RD for I-485 is 9/21/04. I was wondering if I can expect to have my application approved first, or will USCIS throw my paperwork in with the 9/21 batch :( with the idea of approving my wife and me at the same time? I would appreciate it if any of you can assist. Thanks.

Not a guru's advice but take it for whatever it is worth

Mostly the primary applicant's RD/ND is the key in picking up the case. My friend did the smae thing, he added his wife much after he had filed his 485 but he got approval very soon after that.
 
I do not think your application will be bunched with your dependents/ derivatives application dates. I do guess your Dependents applications will be bunched with your's. In worst cae your dependents applications may be approved after your processing is done.
 
I am in the same boat and my attorney told me that my time line will not be affected and my spouse will get her GC based on her dates.. and I said AMEN
 
When they approve your case if wife's 485 checks completed they approve both at same time.Otherwise they approve yours and it may take little longer for wife.Your case is not affected by wife filing date.
