Approval or RFE?

The lawyer believes that I am approved based upon this message and calling the 800 number. The people at the 800 number say my case is approved. I am skeptical. I would like to hear from anyone that once had this message. What does it really mean? The thing is that I received an RFE that we have not yet responded to. Prior to this message there was another message that clearly said an RFE was issued. So why did the message change?
On March 01, 2004 the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued.

I can tell you from my case. One of my notices (which happened to be approval notice) went back because they had not updated my address. I know why that message was related to undelivered mail was because it only showed up after my approval message online. Also, after it went back, USCIS somehow got hold of my new address and resend it back and I could clearly see that there was wrong address originally on the envelope.

So, I can confirm that if something went back as undelivered by the post office, you gonna see that message. Now what was undelivered is dependent on each individual case.

Now, as you have not responded to your RFE yet, it beats me. You don't wanna get your hopes high, but I have seen people post that this message infact reflected to approval. So, you just gotta wait and see. Another option is to go to your local office and ask them about your case. I did, and they were very helpful.

Also, do you have any other petitions pending besides 485? Check the online status of all petitions tied to the same A number as your 485. What does it say?

I am confident that it is a RFE

Hi W8c,

My case is very similar to yours. It was an RFE.

I have a few questions.
1) Did your attorney get the RFE notice or you. I you got the notice that means they tried to deliver the letter to to attorney and could not be delivered due to insufficent address.

2) Did you get the RFE? If you got it, did you have another envelope wwith your atorneys address and saying insufficient address.

If the answer to these two questions yes then they are refering to the RFE you received at your address. I advise you to reply to RFE.

I received the RFE together with the old envelope. Yes, the RFE was originally mailed to the lawyer, but returned by USPS as undeliverable.
