Approval goes by FP or ND ?

My ND for I-485 was July 2000, however we got FP done in Nov 2000. When do we expect I-485 approval ? Does approval go by FP date or ND ? Thanks

I\'m in the same boat as you are in. I did my FP on Nov 25 2000. My RD is July 23, 2000. EB2 India and INS Vermont. Different people have different opinions about this. Let\'s hope we get it early.

I believe it goes by ND. But usually (cases
for prior to Mar2000), it takes about a year
to get FP then thereafter, only about 2-4
months to get approval and depending if you
will get RFE.

However, with cases filed after Mar 2000 getting
FP done about 2 months after filing. I am not
so sure now. They say that the FP notices were
just sent "automatically" but will still take
longer to receive approval even FP is done early.

But I already saw someone here getting approval
who only filed last July 2000 (I forgot his name).

Well, let\'s hope for the best. My ND is 10/00
and FP done in 12/00. I am hoping to get my
approval soon too, we all are.

I could not find the person (or info) you referred to who filed in July 2000 and has gotten the approval. Could you help double check his name and email and post it here, I will follow up to get more detail form him/her ? Thanks

My ND is also JUL00. EB2, India and PD Feb99. Would you lemme know if
you have any idea as to when our approval might be. Did u ever talk to an IIO.
