Approval by company?

Does anybody know? Are there any relationship between approval and company? Friend of mine has WAC 01-284, mine is WAC-02-067 and we work for the same company. He still didn't have approval. Is it true that my case will be approved only after his case plus?

Yes, no connection

One may get RFE and other may not. One may be called for an interview and the other may not. One who applied first may get their approval before or after the other. There is too little relationship between the two cases.
 
each case goes by its own merits

There is absolutely no connection. I have known of people working for the same company, applying at the same time, and while one person gets it in less than 2 years, the other had to wait for more than 4 years with 2 successive finger prints. Both applied under EB2/RIR.
