Appreciate a response on H1 issue I have

This is my case- I guess it is as complicated as others so I guess its a norm
to be in situations such as this.

I have my H1 B from company A and I am on their 7th year extension period
valid until March 2007. ( I was able to apply for my 7th year because company B is doing my Green card and I have the LC pending for more than 365 days.)

My question is related to me wanting to transfer to a new company C in the next 1 month.
1.Can I start working for the new company as soon as I apply for the transfer?
2.With this transfer can I also ask for the extension for the next year or do I have to pay INS again and apply again for an extension in March ?
3. How long do u think it will take for my transfer H1B to come through?
4. What happens if my H1B tranfer has been applied and it does not come through until March (and I have started working for company C based on the reciept of transfer) , now how do I apply for the next extension ? This is the part that has me worried.
5. Since I now have 7 mnths remaining in my extension period, I was wondering if I should apply for my second extension now itself to make use of the lesser fee structure ( allowed when its the second time with the same
company) and then subsequently apply for H1B transfer for the new company?

I am very confused and hassaled not knowing what best to do in this situation. Any kind of advice or information will be much appreciated.
Thank you.

APPRECIATE A RESPONSE, THANKS IN ADVANCE

You can work for the Company C as soon as you filed the H-1B transfer. Any company needs to pay the H-1B fee besides the application fee unless it is the second time extension. You may ask the Company C to file the premium processing for a quick results.
