Appointment with old H1's EAC

Hi,
My H1-b is expring on March 19th 2006. Since my labor petition was filed Mar11th 2005, my extension can be applied only on or after March 12th 2006. My labor has not been approved yet. I am going to India in April, so i would like to book an appointment for my visa stamping. They are asking for my EAC # during that process, but i dont have my new H1's EAC #. Can i book the appointment with my current EAC # which expires in March? Please advice. You help is much appreicated.

I think you should be ok by doing this. Just make sure you update the new EAC number before you go the embassy for your appoinment. I think this can be done via email..
