Appointment Dates in Chennai

Is there any procedure to check the availability of dates without paying the fees upfront? some thing like a search / find?

you can do that

You don't have to pay the fees to check the dates. Just enter the visa type and iterview language.

I have another question. When I try for a regional language , it keeps coming back as no dates available. could this be true? or is the systems such that it shows estimates if available within a month or two?

Nov 9 is available

I just checked 8.19PM EST. Nov 9th, Thu, 2006 is available for Tamil language. Nov 2,7,22,28 is available for English. Both are for Tourist visa dates for Tamilnadu native.

I am not sure which language you are trying for. You have to keep trying everyhour. Thats what I did for my mil.
