Appointment Dates in Chennai Consulate

Can anyone tell me, what is the appointment date currently available for chennai consulate?

Also let me know, if can I book appointment from two consulates (Chennai & Kolkatta) simultaneously, at a later date, I can cancel the one of the appointment.

Chennai Dates

October: 1,6,7,8,10,20,21,22,23,27,28,29,30 dates are avialbale
November 3,4,5,6,7,13,14,17,18 are available
All the dates in december are booked
 
i think you can book appointments in diff consulates at the same time...

But don't forget to cancel the ones you donn want before 24 hours. otherwise they won't allow you to take the other appoint ment upto 90 days

Do we need to take appointment for applying H4 visa for first time? I am getting married on Dec 3rd ,it looks like all the dates In chennai consulate are booked, can I use drop box facility for first Time H4 visa or does the same rule apply for H4 like first time H1B which requires a appointment

In the tts website, I entered the information like name, address, passport details, visa detail etc. for scheduling an appointment date in US Consulate, Chennai, but couldn't find the exact dates that I need, so I did not select any dates and logged off from the tts web-site.

Now if I want to try and see if any other dates are available, do I have to follow the same procedure of entering all the information again and find out for available dates. Please advice.

You have to follow the same procedure of entering all the information again ,their is no easy way to do that other than storing the info in a notepad then cut and paste.

Thanks for the info. I am also sailing in the same boat like you. I'm getting married on Dec 5th. I'm from Chennai and my fiance is from Kolkata. So not sure, if I should schedule an appointment in Chennai or Kolkata. Is your visa valid in your passport? Mine is getting expired on Oct 1st 2003.

If you get any dates for appointment (US consulate, Chennai) in Dec 2003, please update.

Logged on to tts website to schedule a personal interview at US Consulate, Chennai. It displayed the Jan 2004 Calendar also. But all in dec 2003 and Jan 2004 seems to be booked. Any idea as to when do they update the site. Seems like getting an appointment is a real difficulty.

Please advice.

I don't have my visa stamped in my passport ,but i don't see that
requirement for H4 stamping though, regarding the appointment dates i am also in the same boat, not sure what to do.

Sent an email to tts chennai... yesterday asking them... why i'm not able to book any dates in dec '03 and jan '04. I got a reply saying that "Appointments for Dec 2003 and for the Year 2004 are not open for booking yet."

Hi Guys

Need some help from guys who have taken appointment at delhi or chennai consulates.

I have a valid visa (H1) was trying to take appointment for my wife (H4) at Delhi consulate kind of got lost in the confusing questions and the details required,

On the second page of entry where it says "Maximum number of applicants" what does that mean? Does it mean 2 for me and my wife and in the next page it asks to fill up a bunch of questions related to your passport number, address etc...

Is this your passport details or your wife's passport details and what address should I fill the one in the passport or my present home address in the US.

If anyone has filed the forms on the ttsvisas site can respond that will help a lot.

------------ From what you have stated, I guess you are applying only for your wife's H4 visa stamp. If that is the case, then the

Maximum number of applicants : 1

Is this your passport details or your wife's passport details and what address should I fill the one in the passport or my present home address in the US.

------------ The address is the one where you reside in India, the address where you want your passport to be returned back.

Scheduling appointments

Hi Guys,
Could we still get appointment for Delhi and Culcutta consulates? I do not think so. Chennai Consulate has announced that it is ending the special procedure adopted during summer that allows south-indian to go to other consulates. Please visit the attached link
