appointment at Nogales on April 12 -Pls Help

Hi all,

I have an Appointment at Nogales US embassy for my h1b stamping, as i trasfered to new company recently.
I dont have permit to enter Mexico and other issue is i dont know how to get DD( $100 )as i have appointment in the morning at 8am.Please help me...

Whether mexico visa is need or not and how to get DD in this short time.

you definitely need a mexico visa. there are some travel agencies in US who can help you with that.

From what I understand, you can also do with a Mexican visit permit. Since you are not going inland into Mexico, but just the Consulate and back, you might be able to do without the visa. Besides it is a bit late for the visa now. A few folks have gone without visa/permits also, but I'd recommend you getting the permit atleast just to be safe. Please do a search on Mexican permit and you will find more information. I think you can get a Mexican permit right at the border for a small fee when you are entering Mexico, but search to confirm.

Also search for bank draft and if I remember reading correctly, many folks go over to the bank by taxi before it opens at 9:00 am, get the bank draft and then join the line outside the US consulate. The folks at the consulate understand that many people have to get their bank drafts from the bank first. You might miss your 8:00 am appointment, but you will be let into the line and will reach your interviewing officer a bit latter on. Again please search for all posts on Nogales, interviews, bank drafts etc. and read up to get more information.
