Appointement letter from consulate

I have my CP interview at Chennai on January 25th 2002. I received the appointment letter (just one sheet, with no enclosures) from the consulate yesterday. My lawyer also got the same letter (also with no enclosures). The letter says that the forms and instructions are enclosed but as I said there are no encl. Is this normal? I thought they send the appointment letter as part of Packet 4. Does anyone else have the same experience?

Hi sraghu,

Pkt4 will be enclosed only if you have provided an local (Indian) address. Since you have NOt provided any local address, the US consulate just mails the appointment letter. You need to download the pkt 4 forms and have other required docs ready for the interview. Hope this helps...

when did you send your packet 3

Hi,
could you post the dates when you sent your packet 3 to consulate, when they received and when they entered information in their system. I sent my packet 3 last week and want to know when I can expect aninterview.
