Applying Re-entry permit- Very Urgent

Hi,

I need to apply Re-entry permit. Unfortunately...I have no time left out and here is the situation...

Going to India to work with the same company i work in US. My stay there could be between 6 months to less than 1 year but may extend and not sure about it as of now. Leaving US on 16th Feb 04 and i have only 3 days left to apply for reentry permit for myself and my family members.

My questions are...

01. Do i need to apply for re-entry permit if my stay in Inida would be between 6 months to less than 1 year.

02. Can i send/apply re-entry permit just 3 days before the actual date of journey to India?

03. If i cant apply for reentry permit now, because i dont have enough time...what are my other options if any....

Please advise...

No, provided you will return to the US before 1 year is up.

Yes.

Why wouldn't you have enough time? Just mail the darn thing on the way to the airport. Remember, you may apply only while in the US.
Other options... - return to the US before 1 year is up.
