Applying OCI and Visa Simulatneously

Hi All - I would like to apply for OCI card at the consulate but i need to travel to india in the next 2-3 weeks. What are my options ?. Can i submit both applications ( including surrendering indian passport ) on the same day ?

If you already have your PP cancelled (either you got the SC or cancelled stamp on you Indian Passport), you may apply both same time. Not sure if you can submit in person for OCI. However, you may apply for Visa thru Travisa. If you have not cancelled your Indian Passport, you will need to apply for SC first.
