Applying I-485 for dependent - Help

I applied for my I-485 under EB2 and my spouse applied through her company under EB3. Both of our I-140s are approved. Since the PDs for EB3 are moving back to Jan 2002, I would like to add my spouse as dependent on my application. My PD is in 2001.

I would like to avoid going through lawyer if possible. Is this something easy to do? Can someone point me to a thread which explains the procedure?

My I-485 was applied recently. Untill what stage will I be able to add dependent? I have not done FP yet.

You will have to withdraw your wife's 485 application and then add her in your application by filing her new 485 and putting her as a derivative applicant with your 140 approval notice copies. her A# number remains the same though. Since this is not a common procedure, I would prefer a Lawyer.
