So here is the situation which I need advise on:
A relative of mine who is a US Citizen is planning on marrying a foreigner who is on a 5 year multiple entry visit visa to the US. Right now he is on a 6 month entry which ends on Jan 09.
So the question is how should we proceed? Is it wise to marry; apply for GC for the spouse; and then spouse will leave for home country and come back after some months? Is that even possible? Will the Multiple entry visa be invalid after the GC application based on marriage?
Or
They get married, the citizen applies for the spouse and the spouse ignores the 6 month entry and stays in the US until he gets the GC or Work permit?
