Applying GC for parents - question regarding finger printing - pls help!

Hi,

I am a US citizen and I am planning to apply GC for my parents who are currently with me in the US. Since I live in CA, I will be applying their GC in the state of CA. Following are my questions:

- if I send the documents in the beginning of Sept, when can I expect to receive the date for finger printing?

- Though I applied for their GC in CA, can my parents get their finger printing done in the state of VA. Due to medical conditions for my sister, my parents need to be in VA starting mid september, until end of the year.

Depending on the volume of the DO it will at least be 45-60 days from the time you'll send it.
It will be scheduled in the Application Support Center in your area and they will not be able to take it in VA.
However, you can reschedule it for a later time when they'll come back from VA.
