I am single right now and have filed for my I-485 (Employment based at TSC) back in 03/2003 (ND 03/2003). I am thinking about getting married sometime late next year or early 2005. Do you know if its easier to apply for the GC for my spouse after I receive my GC or while I am waiting for my I-485? She is currently on OPT (Optional Practical Training) which expires Aug next year. If I get married while I'm still waiting for the I-485, can I file another application for my new spouse, will she be eligible to stay here, work or leave and re-enter the country while waiting for our green card? I am afraid that in the unlikely but lucky even of me getting my GC before end of next year, I'll have even more trouble applying for GC for my spouse. Is that true?
