Question Pertaining to NY Office:
Has anyone applied for Renunciation Certificate in Person to avoid delays. They mention in their instructions that one can do so, but has anyone had success doing so. If so do they do it over the counter like give your the certificate right then and there? So that take my OCI application along with me ready, make a copy of Ren Cert and also submit the OCI app right there. I checked this forum and people strongly oppose applying for Ren Cert and OCI together at NY, so I think best option is to get Ren Cert and then apply for OCI but I am short of time so cant wait for mail/ processing etc. Thanks.
