Applying for PR Card (first time)

I entered Canada and got my PR document (I said that I will be returning back to US) so Canadian immigration gave me document and said I can use this to re-enter Canada by land (own vehicle). They also provided me a address notification form to fill out to get the PR mailed. Unfortunately I did not fill it out in time its over 6months now. What should I do in my case to apply for PR card?
I checked the Canadian immigration site. It says if its over 180 days I have to
re-apply for your PR Card and pay the applicable fee. So can I submit an PR Card application giving my friends Canadian address from US?

Yes you can. I think the only thing is now you would have to pay the $50.
