OCI states light colored background. Either light blue or light pink. I've seen posts where people's pictures were approved with the white background. I did light blue for mine. It's 5-6 bucks more, but at least I had peace of mind. Walmart studios or professional photographers do light colored background. Costco, CVS, and Walgreens do only white background.
No need to sign the photos and please paste them with a glue stick. No stapling.
