applying for j1/h1/csa-visa from canada

my name is dr taimur ali and I am a pakistani national who is currently in canada. I am a permanent resident of canada.

Can I give the usmle step 1 2 and 3 and apply for the csa visa from canada or will I have to go to my native country to apply for the csa visa.(which is the vias for the csa exam which can only be given from within us.)

Could I apply for the J-1/H-1 from within canada as a permanent resident or shall I have to go to my native country for that. suppose i get an interview call. will I have to go all the way to pakistan to get visa for that.

please help.

Get Visa from Canada

If you are a canadian resident, you can get your visa from canada, no need to go back to Pakistan. US looks at your last country of residence, so it would be canada. However, if you get a J1 from Pakistan, you will have to go back there to complete your waiver.
