Applying for I-485 while I-140 is Pending

Hi Guys,
I think I am also like many of the confused GC aspirants at the moment. I will appreciate if someone could provide some insights to clear the confusion.

I have applied for GC under EB-2- NIW (Nov-06, NSC) and EB1-EA (March 07, TSC) categories and both the I-140 are pending at the moment.
As the the visa numbers have become available in both categories now, I intend to apply for I-485 however I am concerned if I can apply a single I-485 at the moment and can later ask it to be linked with whichever category I-140 gets approved first. Will it work or should I just wait for my I-140 to get approved first and then only think of filing for AOS. ( in that case I am guessing it may be late and also the fees will go up).

Another concern is I stil have to wait 2 months for the third Hepatitis B shot. In its absence will I be able to seek medical clearance by the doctor?

Thanks in advance

1- You really don't have a problem. All you need to do is file I-485 now with both I-140 receipt notices attached. They will normally adjudicate the I-485 (within processing time limits) once one of the I-140s is approved.

2- I wasn't required to do Hep B, and the reason is that this vaccine is required only for children I believe. Nobody else I know needed the Hep B (all were adults). So you will definitely get clearance by the doctor. Make sure your Diphtheria/Tetanus shots are up to date (take documentation with you or go to your regular doctor and take them before you go to the civil surgeon so you won't have to pay - but get a receipt), or the civil surgeon will make you take them and pay for them. You will also require a TB skin test. Incidentally, if you happen to be positive for the skin test and already know that, make sure you have documentation and you show it to the CS and tell him/her to check the box that the skin test was done before (on what date). Tell them not to check the "Not Done" box for the skin test or otherwise you'll get an RFE. If you will get the skin test at the CS when you go, just ignore what I wrote in the last sentence.

Hepatitis B vaccination requirements

My wife and I are now able to submit our I485s but don't have proof that we have been immunized for Hepatitis B. On most of the websites I've read, they say that this is a required immunization and it is administered over a period of 6 months via 3 shots.
We have our medical exam in two weeks, and I'm guessing the physician is going to say that we need to get this done.
My question is this: do the immunization documents need to be put in with the I485 application or can they be submitted later?
If they are required at the time of submission, would it be sufficient to provide proof that you have taken the first shot required for Hep B and that you have paid for the remaining two (sort of a document that proves that you are doing the necessary steps to be immunized).

I-485 filing with 1-140 pending

Thanks for the info JK,

Just wanted to know if someone else has tried doing the same, I mean applied for 485 with copies of two different I-140s and it worked. In this case which case number do I need to fill in the column asking for approved I-140 application number?

Secondly which center should I file my I-485 in since both my I-140 are from different centers ( TSC & NSC).

Thanks
