Hello All
I need some advice on this issue.. Please help me if you can..

My current employer finally agreed to sponsor me for GC. But they want me to sign a bond that i have to pay like 10K or so if i leave by myself ...I am not sure that if it is even worth it to apply for green card anymore. With labor still hangin in 4/2001 . Is it even worth for me to take this chance? I have exactly 2 yrs on my h1-b...

Gurus, Will you please help this confused soul?

Thanks in advance

Hi Bornfree,

I am not a guru, but if I were in your shoes I would start the GC process ASAP. If not through current employer, then try changing employer. With only 2 years to go on H1, you will be able to take advantage of the 7th year extension rule (that should hopefully come into affect soon.) if your labor has been filed over 1 year back. These are tough times, and I am sure you have heard about the beggar and his choices !
