Applying for GC from MI through RIR,Can I go to India for 3 months after applying ?

Yeah you can go to India while your green card process is underway. I am not sure but I think sometime during the last stages of the process its better to go after getting your passport stamped, but since you have just started the process you shouldn't have any problem at all. I applied my GC from MI too and I did go to India 2mo after I applied for labor.
I am not sure why/who is asking for your I-94.

You can go where ever you want to go !!. GC is for future job and in MI its taking a while to clear your state level LC. So just apply so that have advantage when you come back. All the papers lawyers ask are not going to go SESA or DOL, so don't worry about sending a I-94 copy to your lawyer. Probably they are making sure that you have a valid status though out.
