Applying for citizinship while wife is staying abroad

I want to apply for citizinship (for my self) my wife and children (US citizens) are not in the US, I have been abroad for off and on for sometime, but has no problems with my presense (number of days, less than 6 months, etc.) I got a job here and plan to apply since i live and work here. is it a problem that my wife is not in the US?

Where is "here"? The US, or another country?

If you have a job outside the US working for a non-US company, that's a no-no for naturalization.
