Hi All,
Right now I am in US.I want to apply for Canadian PR.I have 75 points.I' ve filled out schedule 1 and schedule 3 forms and have all the necessary documents. My question: is it necessary to submit the fingerprints while applying at this stage? If the answer is yes, how should I have to approach for finger prints ?

Thank you,

No

After Buffalo looks at your application and either approves it or interviews you, you will receive a notification that they want you to provide the police clearances and the medical. I believe they will provide you with the card which you have to take to local or state police to get printed. The card goes to the FBI and gets forwarded to Buffalo from there.
They are smarter than the US, they actually realize that the FP's would be two years old if they asked for them up front.

(this is how my canadian attorney explained it to me, no guarantee that this is correct)

You might want to read through the 'buffalo tracker' thread, it gives you an idea how things work chronologically.

How did ull obtain the language proficiency documents?
Did ull take the certified test or use education certifcates to prove the language proficiency. My education has been in English throughout my life. I had taken TOEFL 6 yrs ago for admission to agraduate program in a US university.
I am kinda lost on the best way to approach this language proficiency issue. I do not have the time to go to another city and take the test due to various constraints. I was hoping the Candian authorities would use my previous education background and scores to decide my language proficiency.
Any thoughts?

oxford

I was told that unless you are a Brit with an oxford education it is advisable to take the IELTS. Yes, you can submit material that your primary education was in english etc. but it leaves it up to the discretion of the officer to assess the language points. If you take IELTS they pretty much have to give you the points. btw, they don't seem to care about the TOEFL.

What hadron said is correct, you have to leave it at the discretion of the officer. Having said I had the same background, dergree in the US, TOEFL and of course english medium of instruction from the start so you can be pretty confident that they won't ask for IELTS. I took TSE too with my TOEFL and gave them those results.
Anyway if they need it they will come back and ask you that so you can take it at that point in time if needed
