Applying for AP in SFO. Please help !!!

I never applied for AP along with I485 at VSC. I have EAD card, which was approved 2 months back. Can I go to local San Francisco office and get the AP on same day. I have already booked my tickets to India. Which all documents are required for emergency AP? Any info in this matter is highly appreciated. Please post your experience.

They issue AP the same day only if you have some document that states an emergency..

like fax copy of a letter from a doctor/hospital from ur home country stating that someone is ill.. if you dont have this they will not issue it... Personal experience---we went and wasted a day without the AP.. especially if your case is with VSC they ask you to mail your application to VSC.. Hope this helps...
