Applying for AP from outside US?

HI,

I have an approved AP till Aug 23, 2003. Due to some personal
emergency I had to return to India this month and will not be able to return to US by that time.

How do I apply for a new AP? And where should I apply?
I am a dependent on my husband's employment based I-485 from Texas Service Center . How long will it take to get my application approve and will there be any problems in this?
Can anybody suggest me some solution or has anybody gone through the same situation?

Can we go to local INS office and get the AP? And must I appear at the office personally or can my husband appear on my behalf since I am out of country?

Thank You

Just an idea

I don't know anything about this. However, I think you can file for AP before you go. When your husband ( or friend) receives it they can Fedex to you

Where are you now - India or US?

look at the thread titled "Can FOJ be used if applicant cannot return before expiry of AP?" in this forum.

To apply for AP - the person should be present in the US.
If ur husband has a valid visa - u can use that to enter US.
Else u can go through follow-through-join.
If u are still in US, try getting an emergency parole at ur local BCIS office. U need to show proof of the emergency.

Though it is not normal, I think you can apply for AP from outside US - I say so because there is a option in AP application form saying "I am outside US and am applying for AP" (approx.)
.

I don't know though whether this option can be used by I-485 pending people.

HI,

I am at present in India. So can anybody explain about the follow through join process.
Where can I find the details regarding this.

Thank You
