My wife travelled outside the country when she first applied for a change of status from H4 to H1. She entered the country before the H1 petition was approved using H4 visa. Is it true that she abandoned the change of status petition as soon as she travelled outside the country. Does this mean that the H1 approval that she got was invalid and so she is out of status now???. Please let me know. Any inputs welcome.
