I have an I-94 that expires on the 5th Sept. I am unsure whether to apply for an extension of status as I have been in the US for 3 months this visit and was 6 months previously (on a B-1/B-2) visa.
My girlfriend is working on a E3 and I seek to join her here. If I apply for an extension to my status and that takes several months to get the decision, would that complicate the application for an E3 if I found a suitable job in that period ?
Is it likely I need to leave the US to get an E3 approved anyway ?
Could I apply for an extension of status, then if I found a job leave and apply for the E3 from Australia or Canada ?
